Terms of Service

PoolDeck Friends is operated by PoolDeck Technologies LLC(“PoolDeck Technologies LLC”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PoolDeck Friends and the related website at friends.pooldeck.app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

PoolDeck Friends helps parents, family members, and friends follow swim meets in real time: live race timing, results, countdowns, and optional SMS and push notifications when a tracked swimmer is about to race. The Service is provided as-is and may change over time.

You sign in with a mobile phone number or email address. You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact information you provide and for keeping access to it. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any law, or to harass, impersonate, or collect information about another person without their consent.
• Scrape, overwhelm, or reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its integrity or availability.
• Link swimmers you do not have authority to follow (for example, children you are not a parent or guardian of, or swimmers whose family has asked you not to follow them).
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

When you sign in with a phone number or enable SMS notifications, you consent to receive automated text messages from PoolDeck Friends at the number you provide. These may include:

• Sign-in codes. One-time 6-digit codes you request when logging in.
• Heat alerts (opt-in). Short messages telling you that one of your tracked swimmers is about to race, if you have turned SMS alerts on under Notifications.

Message frequency. Messages are sent on-demand. Typical volume is 1–2 sign-in codes per session plus 1–5 alerts during a meet day for an opted-in parent.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details. We do not charge you for messages we send.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any PoolDeck Friends text message to unsubscribe from all SMS from the Service. You can also turn SMS notifications off at any time under the Notifications settings in the app. Opting out of SMS does not close your account; you can still use email to sign in.

How to get help. Reply HELP to any PoolDeck Friends text message, or email support@pooldeck.app.

We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details on the service providers (e.g. Twilio) we use to deliver messages.

Meet names, event lists, heat lines, and race results displayed in the Service come from the meet’s official timing system and from information parents link to their accounts. PoolDeck Technologies LLC does not claim ownership of that underlying data. The Service itself — design, code, logos, and copy — is owned by PoolDeck Technologies LLC and protected by copyright and other laws.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that race timing, heat order, predictions, or notifications will always be accurate or timely — live meet data comes from third-party timing systems and is subject to their behavior.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PoolDeck Technologies LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service (including missed races, missed notifications, or lost data), even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can request account deletion by emailing support@pooldeck.app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 4 (Acceptable use), 6 (Content), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of liability), and 11 (Governing law) survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and PoolDeck Technologies LLC agree that any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

We may update these Terms when the Service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive change. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
